A SPECIAL MESSAGE AND CLOSING REMARKS FROM OUR JUDGES
“Heiva i Tahiti pays tribute to our ancestors, to our traditions, to our harmony with nature and transmission to future generations. Heiva i Tahiti is the culmination of the expression of our culture, the claim for our identity. Heiva is unique, it allows us to build relationships and maintain communities, keep the language alive.
Heiva is for peace.
So…
Heiva i SF must continue our work... It must express the soul and the mana of our ancestors.....It must be unique...everybody must sing the songs to make it different and real, there must have a theme on each dance, cause you dance a meaning, a story, a "taura" or a "tapa'o"....you cannot just dance without a meaning....'ori tahiti is the dance of the fenua and its people soul...
Thanks to all the soloist, groups and musicians to make it always better and better...”
